Tinkering and Take Apart

Stomp Rockets

In April, a group of Oak Grove educators came together after school and asked, "How can we learn more about Making and bring more Maker experiences to our community?" My colleagues asked me to put together a workshop for the summer and our principal, Paige Gardner, jumped all over it and said YES! Let's DO this!!

Then Jessica K. Parker said - write up a proposal for a Maker Ed. course through SSU Extended Education and collaborate with another member of your Maker Certified Educator cohort -- so a partnership between Patricia Amend Ehn and I was made.

Our journey began in April and carried us through to July 31 and Aug 3rd sessions! What a ride!!!

Melissa encouraged us to ask for a ziplock filled with items families send in.  The form I sent home looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzCk2uP0v4nfX1lfMW5MUEl4MzQ/view?usp=sharing
