On Monday, June 8, I led a workshop on the Maker Philosophy and open-ended engineering tools with Oak Grove Summer counselors, on-site supervisors, and our District Program Director. Counselors learned about open-ended engineering challenges through the use of the Marble Wall. I also trained all members on the set-up and use of an air-compression rocket launcher. Everyone had the chance to operate the air compressor and launch a rocket. There was laughter and delight as adults watched their rocket shoot into the air.

Melissa encouraged us to ask for a ziplock filled with items families send in.  The form I sent home looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzCk2uP0v4nfX1lfMW5MUEl4MzQ/view?usp=sharing
